While studying architecture in Rome, Federico Cimatti discovered painting and photography. At the end of 1975, he opted for the latter, and decided to move to Paris where he began working as a photographer. Collaborations with prestigious European magazines and commissions from major luxury and cosmetics houses soon followed. Today his work features regularly in magazines such as Citizen K, Stiletto, German AMICA, Wallpaper, Men's VOGUE and VOGUE Russia. He also photographs architecture and interiors for the French and Spanish editions of Architectural Digest. His recent advertising campaigns include : Cartier (2007)Cartier Catalog( 2008/2009), Dior Men's watches (2006/2007/2008/2009), Hermès watches (2007), Lacoste Perfumes (2007), Absolut Vodka (2007) and Glenfiddish (2006/2007). Federico Cimatti lives and works in Paris.
